TV Removal in the Twin Cities
Somewhere in a lot of Twin Cities basements there’s a heavy old tube TV that nobody has figured out what to do with. Minnesota banned those from the trash in 2006, so it can’t just go out with the garbage. We carry it up and take it to electronics recycling — along with the flat screen that replaced it. A 42–65 inch TV is $68; a TV under 42 inches is $62.

Wall-Mounted TVs
If the TV is still on the wall, the crew can take it down from a standard mount, and the bracket too if you ask. Patching the wall afterward is up to you.
Mention the mount when you book so the crew brings the right tools.
Minnesota’s Electronics Rules
Tube TVs Can’t Go in the Trash
Minnesota law has kept CRT televisions and monitors out of the trash since July 1, 2006. They contain leaded glass and must be recycled.
Treat All Electronics as Recycle-Only
Flat screens aren’t named in that statute, but Hennepin County and the cities route electronics to recycling, and Minneapolis only collects TVs and computers on recycling day. We send every TV and monitor to an electronics recycler.
